Now we need that same energy for the most important meeting of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 2026 Oxford County Budget is heading into its final stage, and this is where decisions become real. Taxes, spending, transparency, rural services, downloaded costs, land-use planning, infrastructure priorities \u2014 it all gets locked in now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And that is exactly why we need you there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udcc5 <strong>Wednesday, December 10<br><\/strong>\ud83d\udd55 <strong>9:30 AM<br><\/strong>\ud83d\udccd <strong>Oxford County Administration Building<\/strong> (21 Reeve Street, Woodstock)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Whether you came to Stand4Oxford because of KICLEI, because you\u2019re a farmer who cares about how the County\u2019s decisions affect rural life, or because you\u2019ve been rightfully concerned about rising taxes and affordability \u2014 this meeting matters to you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here\u2019s the truth:<br>When residents fill the seats, Council takes notice.<br>When the room is empty, decisions get made without public pressure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We\u2019ve seen the impact of community presence firsthand. It changes the tone of debate. It changes the priorities. It reminds elected officials that their decisions affect real people \u2014 families, farmers, workers, seniors, homeowners, renters, and neighbours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is the moment to show up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bring a neighbour. Bring a friend. Bring someone who\u2019s never been to a Council meeting but cares about what\u2019s happening to their community.
