Each presentation highlights concerns about outside influence on local decision-making and calls for greater transparency, accountability, and respect for community priorities. Follow-up KICLEI delegation in Tillsonburg
On July 14, 2025, Marie Russell delivered a follow-up delegation on KICLEI to the Tillsonburg Council. She highlighted key concerns regarding the program’s impact on local communities and urged council members to carefully consider whether participation truly serves the interests of residents.

Follow-up KICLEI delegation in Norwich
On July 8, 2025, Jacqueline Robinson delivered a follow-up delegation on KICLEI to the Norwich Council. During her presentation, she also read into the record a letter regarding climate change written by Martin Driesse, emphasizing the need for careful consideration of local climate initiatives.

Follow-up KICLEI delegation in Blandford-Blenheim
On June 18, 2025, Peter Wright delivered a follow-up delegation on KICLEI to the Blandford-Blenheim Council. He began by sharing his personal experiences in Zimbabwe, illustrating what can happen when fundamental freedoms are suppressed. Peter urged council members to reflect on how similar outcomes could occur here if we continue to follow the directives of organizations that don’t prioritize people and communities.

Follow-up KICLEI delegation in East Zorra-Tavistock (EZT)
On June 4, 2025, Marie Russell delivered a follow-up delegation on KICLEI to the Blandford-Blenheim Council. Building on previous discussions, Marie raised important concerns about the influence of outside organizations on local decision-making and urged council members to keep residents’ interests at the forefront.

Follow-up KICLEI delegation in Ingersoll
On May 12, 2025, Mark Cassidy delivered a follow-up delegation on KICLEI to the Ingersoll Council. In his presentation, Mark highlighted ongoing concerns about the growing influence of global networks on local governance and emphasized the need for transparency and accountability in municipal decision-making.

Follow-up KICLEI delegation in South-West Oxford (SWOX)
On May 6, 2025, Marie Russell delivered a follow-up delegation on KICLEI to the South-West Oxford Council. Marie spoke about the importance of maintaining local autonomy and ensuring that decisions reflect the priorities of residents rather than external organizations.

KICLEI Follow-Up Delegation Requests Denied in Woodstock and Zorra
A request to deliver a follow-up delegation on KICLEI to the Woodstock Council was denied. Two attempts were made to have the delegation addressed, both of which were refused. Following this, our team members reached out to several Woodstock councillors, encouraging them to review the information independently.
Similarly, a request to deliver a follow-up delegation on KICLEI to the Zorra Council was denied. We were advised that, if unsatisfied with the outcomes of the April 23rd Oxford County meeting, we should return to the Oxford Council and submit another delegation request.
KICLEI delegation in Oxford County
On April 23, 2025, Marie Russell, leader of Stand4Oxford, and Maggie Braun, founder of KICLEI Canada, presented a delegation to Oxford County Council. They urged council members to reconsider and withdraw from the Partners for Climate Protection (PCP) program. About 130 supporters attended the meeting in person, with many more joining virtually in support.

Speed Control Cameras delegation in Blandford-Blenheim
On November 6, 2024, Marie Russell and Jim Robson presented delegations to the Blandford-Blenheim Council in opposition to the proposed introduction of speed control cameras across Oxford municipalities.

DEI delegation in Norwich
On July 9, 2024, Marie Russell delivered a delegation to the Norwich Council regarding the Safe and Well Oxford recommendation and the DEI Charter. She expressed concerns about the potential impacts of adopting the DEI Charter, urging council members to carefully consider its implications for the community.
